Battlefield Acupuncture was developed in 2001 by Col. Leonard
Niemtzow, MD, USAF, for use when pain blocking medication
is either ineffective or impractical. Acupuncture points on the
ear (Auriculotherapy) are stimulated with tiny needles or light to
modulate pain centers in the brain and bring relief.
Post Traumatic Stress Relief:
Troubling symptoms of unresolved trauma, including intrusive
thoughts, insomnia, depression and anxiety are addressed
with a combination of Battlefield Acupuncture and non-invasive
innovative Mind-Body Energy Medicine.
Early Childhood Trauma:
Our first experiences, from the moment of conception, through
gestation, birth and our first year of life, imprint our Body-Mind
with powerful patterns of perception and behavior that often
persist throughout life. These patterns may have helped us to
adapt and survive as infants and young children, but hold us back
physically and emotionally later in life.
Any trauma experienced in childhood including serious injury,
death of a parent or sibling (including miscarried siblings), divorce,
neglect or abuse may have been impossible to integrate at the
time. If so, the trauma may continue to create blocks to health and
happiness later in life. Using acupuncture and Energy Medicine,
Dr. Gay will identify those patterns that are no longer useful, and
help replace them with supportive and healing beliefs.
